Maharashtra - Sahyadris

The Sahyadris are the portion of a mountain range known as the western ghats that stretch along the entire west coast of India. They are covered with dense vegetation and sometimes forbidding hills. Along this picturesque range some of the cutest towns developed. Initially nothing but villages, these towns due to their proximity to cities mike Mumbai (Bombay) have become hot tourist spots. The Brits attracted to its climate that reminded them of back home developed them further into something that we call today and only in India can you find this term - "Hill Station".

Going ahead....

I know its been long since I last posted on this blog. I was a bit occupied with my job. Not that I aint now. Its just that I got some free time on my hands.
I was now wondering how to go ahead with this blog. So maybe I'll go state wise because you'd probably visit India that way....
But of course I'll start each post with places I have seen and been and then continue with the rest....Keep reading.

The format of each post is State - Region

Rare Places To Visit while in India

Everyone talks about Mumbai, Goa, Bangalore and so on and the list is endless. This is the list of the most published and talked about places to visit while in India. Of course on holiday!!
But My blog is a different publication all together. I talk about Rare places in India, which not many people tend to make it to, perhaps its because its out of the way or nothing else to see around, thus making it not so worth it.
But these places have a few if not many interesting sites which may leave you speechless or will make you wait to run back home or office to hit the net and read more about it.
I personally have a tendency to want to see these places and I have visited a few; some while I was in school, some in college and many more while I started my profession.
Keep watching my blog for the all new "More Interesting Places While in India"
